Congratulations to Joan Cano Martínez, recipient of the Best Graduate award, and to the entire ETSETB Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya Class of 2025–26. We are proud to see Sergi Claramunt Ruiz, Device Characterization Engineer at IDEADED, representing our company in a ceremony that celebrates engineering talent, curiosity and excellence. Congratulations again to Joan, to all graduates, and to ETSETB UPC.
It was a pleasure to take part in the ETSETB-UPC Master's Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2025–2026 and to present the Award for the Best Academic Record in the Master's Programme in Semiconductor Engineering and Microelectronic Design to Joan Cano i Martínez. Congratulations! As Juan Diego Polo mentioned in his talk, upon completing your engineering studies, beyond the technical knowledge you have acquired, you have also developed a new way of thinking: learning how to tackle complex problems, break them down, ask better questions, and keep going when the answer is not obvious. That mindset is especially important today. Artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum technologies, and next-generation computing are rapidly transforming the technological landscape. But the role of engineers remains essential. In my experience working with advanced semiconductors, first in academic research and now at IDEADED, I see how much we need engineers who are not only technically strong, but also curious, critical thinkers who are willing to keep learning. Congratulations to the new graduates. Wishing you all the best in what comes next. Thank you to UPC - ETSETB Telecos BCN for the invitation and for continuing to prepare the talent that Europe's deep-tech ecosystem needs.

Great to see Jemish Parmar, PhD CTO and Director of R&D at IDEADED, featured by Silicon Semiconductor. In the interview, Jemish explains how IDEADED is working to move computing beyond the limits of conventional silicon combining advanced semiconductor technologies, new materials and a clear focus on performance, efficiency and scalability. A good opportunity to understand why “beyond silicon” is not just a technical direction, but one of the key frontiers for the future of high-performance computing, AI and IoT. Quantum computing will not move forward through qubit count alone. In this short clip from The Economist’s Commercialising Quantum Global event, Guillermo Albareda , our CTO of Quantum Computing, explains why fidelity, speed and time-optimal control are essential to improving the quality of physical qubits. At IDEADED, we are working to push quantum control closer to the quantum speed limit, a key step toward more robust quantum technologies.

We are very happy to welcome Laura Caputo to IDEADED. Laura joins our research team with strong international experience in computational chemistry and advanced materials, developed through her Ph.D. at Université catholique de Louvain, funded by the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie program and her postdoctoral work at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Her profile brings scientific depth, a collaborative mindset and valuable experience connecting theoretical research with experimental and technological development. We share her passion for computational materials discovery, energy-related applications, and interdisciplinary collaboration, and are truly excited to welcome her to IDEADED as we continue expanding our capabilities in next-generation computing. Welcome to the team, Laura.

Some conversations help explain why a company exists. In this piece for Expansión, Eduard Puig shares IDEADED’s perspective on what comes after the physical limits of silicon, and why Europe needs to build stronger capabilities in next-generation computing. This is the challenge we are working on: combining scientific ambition with industrial execution to help shape the future of compute. Two inspiring days in London at Commercialising Quantum Global 2026, organised by The Economist. A valuable opportunity for IDEADED to connect with leading voices from the quantum ecosystem across industry, investment, research and public institutions. Our co-CTO Guillermo Albareda Piquer Albareda joined the panel “Why qubit quality could matter more than quantity”, sharing IDEADED’s perspective on the importance of qubit quality, fidelity, connectivity and control in the path towards useful quantum computation. We leave London with valuable conversations, new connections and strong momentum for what comes next. Thank you to The Economist team and to everyone we had the chance to meet. #EconQuantum #Quantum #TheEconomist
