Summary
| Description |
English: Second version of the H Newman Reid Trophy, given to the premiers of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) for finishing top of the regular season standings. This new version of the trophy was first awarded in 2022 and replaced the old trophy, which was lost in Lake Macquarie.
The trophy was commissioned by the AIHL. The trophy is named after H Newman Reid, who was a pioneer of Australian ice sports and founder of ice hockey in Australia. Reid led the entrepreneurial syndicate that set up Australia's first ice rink in Adelaide in 1904. |
