Can't be too careful with your company
The motorcycle roared through the streets of Anonymous City, leaving behind a trail of dust and desire in its wake. Thomas made it back without his crew and all but vaulted off the bike as it shuddered to a stop in the garage. Alice was standing in front of a little red Corvette he'd never seen in the house before, and, without a word, Thomas crossed the garage and swept her up into his arms, his lips on hers in a bruisingly intense kiss.

It should all come rushing back now, the visions she'd missed and would have threaded into place anyway, the pressure at being blocked forwards and back, but it didn't. Fragments maybe, things she'd been struggling to remember without noticing, but all she really felt return with any strength was fear. Not so sweet now.
"I have to get out," she managed, but she still didn't move. Didn't think she could, and moreover didn't want to know. "I have to go." Shouldn't have come. Made it worse. Kiss me again and make it go away.

He could feel Alice's fear on her skin, against his, and the Hunger moved to soothe it for the moment. As he was, fear did not touch Thomas, and for this moment, sated, his thoughts organized themselves. He wanted to go with her, to make sure Alice made it away, then leave himself, but this wasn't the time, not with a vengeful goddess behind them. He had to return, at least for a while. Distraction.
"Stay with me for a few more hours," he repeated. The shadow of a wicked smile played on his lips. "We'll order room service."

"I'd ask you to come with me, but you still won't." She bit her lip, fear flaring up briefly before she pressed herself against him again, which made it easier for some reason. "You need to know something. She- I mean She- I saw Her." She couldn't talk about most of it, for all Alice talked and talked. "She told me Dru's sight is just as screwed as mine and to tell her, but Dru won't believe me and Edward probably-" She stopped again. "Just someone needs to know, you know. If you're going back."

"Bring Jasper to Chicago when this is all over and we'll have fun. I won't bring Harry."

"Edward will believe you, I don't know why and probably not at first but he will eventually if you're there for that long, 'cause he's not going anywhere and I can't make him." She curled against him. "Please don't be there for that long."

"We'll see."
