i have a few things i wanted to let you know, and we'll start with what i've been wanting to tell you since i joined wr!
you're a great mod and i love how much effort and life you put into the game. the game feels like a real world, living and breathing, and it's quite amazing. i wish wr was more active, as many people automatically dismiss it as a dying game when they see the member numbers, but the people in it are loyal to it and i see why.
as far as the next part goes, i also felt this way while being in another game, too, so it's not just wr.
i really like your characters and your characterizations, but i feel like any time i thread with you that i really struggle to keep the thread going. my characters are sometimes more quiet and reserved, but that's never given me an issue in the past. i was trying to look over some of our threads today, and noticed that your posts seem to sometimes lack a type of driving force to keep the thread going or hooks. i asked a friend if they would review a thread we did and tell me if they noticed anything, and they agreed that it seemed i was the only one driving the thread.
this likely isn't an issue with people who have more outgoing and talkative characters, but it makes it difficult for the quieter ones. and this also shows up much more drastically with your more quiet characters as well. (your rainbow dash, it's not nearly as much as an issue. but it shows up more with characters like your lenneth.) as i said, i really like your characters and how you write them, which is why i thread with you!
This is actually something I realized on my own a little while back, looking at some of my tags, so I agree. I've been dropping the ball in that respect. I've been trying to make an effort to address this over the past couple of weeks, both by including more nonverbal description in my tags, and trying to make sure they always have an open question or a statement that invites a response.
From an IC perspective, Lenneth is going to improve soon, once she realizes she's pretty much stuck dealing with mortals on their level for an extended period. In the opening log right now, she's still playing the "hide, deceive, and don't encourage questions" stage, but I think she will become easier to thread with soon, especially after she ends up transformed in the upcoming plotline. If she doesn't, please revisit and let me know where I can improve.
On that note, I welcome direct links or messages if I'm dropping the ball on a particular thread, both so I can rework the thread into something better for the other person to respond to, and so I can figure out how and why I made the mistake.
