We are very proud to announce the first closing of an investment round led by Al Ahly Capital Holding, the investment subsidiary of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE). The company’s valuation stands now at USD 1.4 billion. As a testament to our commitment to inclusion beyond financial services and broader social and community development, Mounir Nakhla, Founder and CEO of MNT-Halan and Chairman of the MNT Foundation for Sustainable Development, signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Local Development and Environment (وزارة التنمية المحلية والبيئة) to launch Lina Kolena, translating to “For All of Us.” Through Lina Kolena, the MNT Foundation will transform underused public land in underserved communities into safe and vibrant public spaces designed with and for the people they serve. The protocol was signed alongside Alaa Abdel Fattah, Assistant Minister for Planning and Urban Development, and witnessed by H.E. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, Zezy Kamel, Head of the Central Administration for Strategic Management, Salma Mousallem, SVP of Impact and Sustainability at MNT-Halan and Vice Chairman of the Foundation, and Walaa Shoman, Board Member of the Foundation and Head of Government Relations. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. Representing Egypt’s dynamic fintech ecosystem, Mounir highlighted MNT-Halan’s journey as a model for innovation, financial inclusion, and digital transformation before senior officials and leaders from both sides. We extend our appreciation to the Egyptian Government, Central Bank of Egypt, and Financial Regulatory Authority FRA for their ongoing commitment to economic stability, regulatory reform, and private-sector empowerment, the foundation on which innovation and growth thrive.
