This is a general community on disability: both for discussion and personal stories. Anyone who identifies as disabled is welcome in this community.

A few ground rules:

Be considerate to your fellow members. Please keep this in mind when making posts, and put possibly triggering contents behind a cut. Keep in mind that everyone's experience of disability is different. Do not use racist, sexist, ableist, or otherwise derogatory language. This is a safe space, and if there is anything that makes you (or another member) uncomfortable or unsafe, please contact the moderator.

We all spend a lot of time dealing with medical news, most of which tends to ignore experience of disability. For that reason, try to avoid posting medical news here, unless you think it is actual news. (Not news: CFS is real. Fibromyalgia is real. Some discussion of this on this entry.)
