A few weeks ago, we opened our Munich Office to the Young Founders Network e.V.   AI is in every pitch and every startup conversation right now. Our aim for the evening was to show what it looks like once it leaves the slide deck: Real use cases in manufacturing and across departments & functions, at real industrial manufacturers.   We shared the Manex story, what we have learned building an AI platform for enterprise customers, and where the hard parts actually sit when aiming to transform the operating model of manufacturers - data, legacy systems, infrastructure, scattered knowledge, processes, and the people who own them.   Sharp questions, honest answers, great discussion and conversations that carried long into the evening. We model the domains a business runs on, then let agents, workflows and applications act on them the way a domain expert would.   For that mission we're looking for engineers who want their code running at Europe’s leading manufacturing enterprises, not sitting in a roadmap, and people who love the craft, take an idea to the shop floor themselves, and would rather solve one of Europe's toughest technical challenges than work on another local optimization.   On August 12th, we're bringing together a small group of Munich's most ambitious engineers for a relaxed dinner. An honest evening, talking about today’s biggest challenges and trends, the problems we're working on right now, and open networking. Manex engineers and founders will be there.

One of the best things about Manex right now is the kind of people joining. Meet Felix Lang, who joined our team as an Enterprise AI Lead, owning our enterprise customer relationships end-to-end. Felix spent nearly 10 years at Mercedes-Benz, most recently as Senior Manager, including three years in Shanghai leading the strategic cooperation with a major Chinese OEM, overseeing the full industrialization of a global product across machining, assembly, supply chain, and R&D.   Felix sees AI as the central transformation factor for manufacturing over the next decade and wants to set a global standard for engineering, supplier management, production, and aftermarket optimization. He experienced Manex as the ideal place to make this a reality with global ambition and excellent execution.   Great to have you on board, Felix!

Welcome to Manex, Nils! 🤝   Nils joined our team as a Product Engineer to help build our platform and drive feature development end-to-end. Nils most recently worked as a Deployed AI Engineer at Helsing in Munich and as a Software Engineer at Palantir in London. He decided to join us as manufacturing is one of the hardest problems and most important challenges out there, with data and AI being the biggest opportunities to move it forward. He now works on large-scale data problems that matter, with a team to match.   We're super excited to have you on board, Nils! 🚢

„So ähnlich wie man Software skaliert hat, wird man als Nächstes Hardware skalieren wollen.“ In den meisten Fabriken findet man zahlreiche alte Systeme, die nicht zusammenarbeiten. Genau das löst Nathan Gruber mit Manex AI: eine Plattform, die alles verbindet und die Fertigung Schritt für Schritt autonom macht. Die Idee entstand aus eigenem Schmerz bei BMW, wo das Gründerteam zwischen den Altsystemen festhing. Heute arbeitet Manex mit einigen der führenden Fertiger der Welt und wird von Lightspeed und BlueYard unterstützt. What a week at VivaTech 2026 in Paris - Europe's largest tech event, and this year with Germany as Country of the Year! 🇪🇺   Part of our team travelled to Paris to represent Manex AI as part of the official German delegation of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. A huge thank you to the German and French organizing teams for making this such an outstanding experience.   Some highlights from the week:   🤝 We had the honor of meeting Federal Minister for Digital Affairs Karsten Wildberger and Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space Dorothee Bär - inspiring to see Germany's leadership so committed to industrial innovation and digital transformation.   🌍 We connected with tech and industry leaders from Michelin, Safran Group, Renault, Airbus, Stellantis, Clarins, Deutsche Bahn, and many more. The conversations around Industrial AI and the future of European manufacturing were truly energizing.   🎤 And we were able to share how we are shaping the future of Industrial AI towards autonomous Manufacturing infront of the fellow German delegation and at the Siemens Industrial AI awards, where we took a prize home with us.   It is amazing to be at VivaTech, being surrounded by the bright minds shaping from all areas of the tech industry.
