  • The next generation of the Agile ONE is already standing life-size right next to its predecessor — completely digitally projected. 🤖 This is made possible by Silberform Vision, an AR application on the Apple Vision Pro that we’re testing together with our partners at Silberform Aktiengesellschaft. This allows us to digitally evaluate proportions, color, and ergonomics before anything is even physically built.   With the Agile ONE, you can even play back animations. Multiple team members can gather around the robot at the same time while wearing the headset, look at the same digital model together, and use the stylus to highlight areas or sketch ideas directly in the room.   👉🏼The result: faster, more cost-effective development cycles and, as a bonus, a presentation experience that leaves a lasting impression on customers and investors. Thanks to the team at Silberform, who built the physical model of Agile ONE for us, among other things, and are now supporting us in this digital leap as well. #AgileRobots #AugmentedReality #Robotics #Animation

A Dialogue on AI and Robotics in Germany 🤝 We welcomed Prof. Dr. Karsten Lemmer (Executive Board Member for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Infrastructures) and Robert Klarner (Industrial Cooperations) from Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. to our headquarters in Munich.   The visit was also a reminder of where our journey began: Agile Robots is a DLR spin-off, founded by former researchers from the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics. Our connection to top-tier research remains an important part of who we are. Also Franka Robotics shares these roots as another DLR spin-off and has been part of the Agile Robots family since 2023.   During the visit, Lemmer and Klarner experienced our teleoperation setup firsthand. They also saw how data from training sessions are used to train AI models that enable autonomous robot movements.   Together with Bettina Schoen-Behanzin (VP Communications and External Affairs) and Sven Parusel (Head of Research Partnerships), they exchanged perspectives on the robotics and AI landscape in Germany and Europe and discussed the future of AI-driven robotics.   Eight years after being founded as a DLR spin-off, Agile Robots has grown to more than 3,500 employees across 25+ locations worldwide. This growth shows what is possible when cutting-edge research meets real-world application - and why maintaining close ties between the two remains so important to us.     #PhysicalAI #RoboticsResearch #AIInnovation #MadeInGermany #DLR #AgileRobots

#DLR #Forschung #Innovation #Transfer

"Trust is not built by bringing in new technology and saying, 'I can do everything.' You have to be a trusted supplier."   That's how our CEO, Zhaopeng Chen, explained in a recent The Wall Street Journal interview with Jiahui H. why Agile Robots has spent years embedding industrial robots in factories rather than chasing a robot that can do everything at once.   One deployment at a time, one specific problem solved, inside a real factory, for a real manufacturer. It's a big part of why so many robotics startups stay stuck in the pilot phase, and why we've chosen a different path.    Full story here (requires a WSJ subscription): https://lnkd.in/eU6z5pYj

"We aim for abstract humanity" 🤝 Agile ONE's communicative, friendly LED eye rings aren't just that. They evoke the appearance of human eyes, without seeking to replicate them. They engage, reassure, and do real communicative work, tracking movement and signalling to co-workers that Agile ONE has registered their presence. They are expressive without being imitative. Designing a humanoid that is accepted and trusted by humans requires achieving a delicate balance. The design should be approachable and intuitive, while avoiding the 'uncanny valley' effect - the unsettling feeling that arises when we encounter something that looks very, but not quite, like a real human. Our Head of Design Vincent Weckert Weckert set out our approach in an interview with Design Perspectives, the magazine of the German Design Council. It can be summed up in two words: "abstract humanity." For Vincent, humanoid design is a series of deliberate choices, each one building human trust and acceptance. The process, he says, is like a sculptor continuously refining a block of marble – starting with the overall form and gradually working into the details. Size matters: Agile ONE's proportions are calibrated to feel capable without feeling imposing - large enough to inspire confidence in an industrial setting, but within dimensions that feel acceptable worldwide. Communication cannot rely on sound alone in a noisy factory environment, which is why Agile ONE uses a shoulder display and LED light signals - including a strip on the back of the head - to convey its status and intentions to everyone around it, even those approaching from behind. As to where humanoid design will go in the future? We are still at a very early stage, Vincent says. Once humans more fully trust and accept humanoids, design may move in entirely unexpected directions - "perhaps even four arms, for example." 👇🏼Thanks to the German Design Council for the interview. Bimanual manipulation is one of the greatest challenges in applying robotics to real-world industries. Using two hands in a coordinated way – applying the right force, adapting in real time, handling deformable or unpredictable objects – is hard enough. But doing so reliably across multiple platforms, environments and operators is where most robotic systems still fall short. Yet it's precisely what industrial environments demand every day. This is why we're proud to support the 1st Global EBiM Challenge together with Franka Robotics: bringing together leading research institutions across Europe, Asia, and North America to benchmark real-world bimanual manipulation on a shared platform – the Mobile FR3 Duo. 'I see Physical AI as an opportunity for Germany to become more independent. High-quality mechanics, mechatronics and software development - Physical AI is where Germany's unique strengths converge' That was the message from Head of Research Partnerships Sven Parusel at this year's F.A.Z. Conference on Artificial Intelligence — making the case for why Physical AI could be Europe's chance to lead where it missed out in the digital race. Data will be at the heart of this development, as Sven told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung’s guests. Developing Physical AI models requires large volumes of data from multiple sources, including teleoperation, simulation, egocentric data and data from production environments. At Agile Robots SE, we are at the forefront of this transformation. Combining data, AI and robotics hardware under one roof. To create intelligent production systems that don't just think, but act.   👏 Thank you to Nina Müller and the entire team at Künstliche Intelligenz – Eine F.A.Z. Konferenz / F.A.Z. Ü:MO - Where Physical AI meets industrial innovation. Last week at the Ü:MO Event 2026 at ARENA2036, leading experts from industry and research came together to discuss the future of mobility, production, and intelligent automation. We were excited to be part of it.  As a member of the ARENA2036 innovation ecosystem, we actively contribute to collaborative research projects shaping the next generation of Physical AI - supported by our subsidiary BÄR Automation GmbH, a founding member of Arena2036 with strong industrial roots. Dr. Stefan Profanter and Dr.-Ing. Manuel Zuern highlighted in their keynote "From Dual-Arm Robotics Challenge to Humanoid Robots", three important pillars: 🤖 The robotic body as the bridge between AI and the physical world 💾 Real-world data as the scarcest resource for scalable and robust robots 🧠 The robotic brain enabling intelligence and adaptability Using real industrial use cases such as wire harness assembly, they showed how these principles pave the way toward humanoid robots operating in complex, real-world environments. At the exhibition, we showcased Agile ONE, our humanoid robot, demonstrating how Physical AI can already be applied in manufacturing today. 🔗 Discover how we bring physical AI to industry: https://lnkd.in/ezHhCKtd #AgileRobots #AgileONE #PhysicalAI #HumanoidRobotics #ARENA2036 #Robotics #Innovation #Stuttgart
