Musings of a crossover writer
Jan. 7th, 2007 02:56 pmBut first! I just got a slew (okay, three but they were at once! That's saying something) of bot alerts from ff.net. :) It's coming back people!
So I'm on to my ... *goes to check* ninth chapter of Welcome to the UK. (So much cute fluff stuff in it so far. X3) Anyway, even though I said that none of the Bladebreakers weren't going to go to Hogowarts, I just started to think what Houses they would be in.
The Obvious OnesTo me anyway
Tyson - Gryffindor
Max - Gryffindor
Kenny - Ravenclaw
The Not so Obvious Ones
Ray - I'm not sure about him. I mean, he left the White Tigers (not Hufflepuff) but it was because he wanted to become stronger (Slytherin). To prove that he was worth being the blader of Driger (Ravenclaw?). He was loyal to the Bladebreakers though (Hufflepuff) and he cares a lot for his team (which could be anything).
Kai - God. Kai. Start of the first season = Slytherin all the way. Ambitious and his drive was all about gaining power. He left the Bladebreakers because he thought that he could get even stronger with Black Dranzer.
After that though... He realised that power wasn't all about brute strength but it was about friendship (Hufflepuff, maybe a bit of Gryffindor). (Well, something along that line but I can't describe it properly.) So that kicks him nearly completely off Slytherin.
He's not much of a Gryffindor since when the rest of the Bladebreakers went to search out, I think it might have been the All Stars by crawling through the airducts, it took a while before Kai decided to go after them and drag their asses back.
Kai can find strategies to beat other opponents seemingly eaily (when he helped Max with a beybattle, the dancing opponent) but he doesn't seem to be the book-smart type of person to me.
So that left me with... Kai is a Hufflepuff post-season one. I died.
I - I - I, damnit! I don't want to write this! But I do! >__< Arrghh! I've got some four fics on the go (considerably better than six) I don't want to add to the number. But the crossover is so entirely perfectI think. May actually be wrong in which case, yey! I don't have to write it!
So, both planets are names Gaia. And I have a perfect place to cross both worlds over. Zidane won't be too pleased (obviously) since they'd have been on the way to stop Kuja (but when weren't they?). No idea for when in FFVII.
And the link between the two worlds? FFVII is the future of FFIX. Which makes sense because in the FFIX world, they were starting to get along with their technology and then in the FFVII, that's what it's all about. If you get what I'm meaning.
Yeah. 'Cept, I haven't completed FFVII so my characterisations would be completely shot and this wouldn't be a Welcome to the UK or A Normal Day kinda crossover. >__< Daaaaamn.
