This morning, EnerSys hosted its earnings call after reporting Q1 FY27 results. Net sales were $936M, up 5% year over year. Adjusted diluted EPS excluding IRC 45X and tariff refunds was $1.78, up 42%. These results reflect solid performance across a diversified portfolio, with momentum in data centers, communications and aerospace and defense helping offset the delayed recovery of material handling demand. EnerSys continues to execute through EnerGize, our strategic framework to transform and grow, with a focus on operational discipline, margin expansion and customer-focused solutions that support critical power and operational needs across industrial, infrastructure and defense applications. This week, members of the EnerSys Board of Directors and leadership team visited our Horsham, Pennsylvania facility for a closer look at the teams, operating discipline and technical capabilities behind our Precision Power Solutions business. Horsham plays an important role in specialized applications where precision, quality and reliability are critical. EnerSys has shared an update on its planned U.S. lithium cell manufacturing facility in Greenville, South Carolina, reflecting a defense-focused plant supported by a revised grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). As Shawn O'Connell, EnerSys President and CEO notes in the release, this approach supports a secure, resilient, domestically sourced supply chain aligned with U.S. national security requirements.
