Dr. Giles Scuderi, MD

I had a very frustrating experience with Dr. Scuderi. He ordered an MRI on my sprained knee. Ater MRI, he briefly called to inform me that I had an ACL tear—but he didn’t mention the severity. Later it turned out to be a complete tear, something clearly visible in the MRI images.During the call, he simply read the MRI report, which described a 'high-grade ACL sprain,' and advised me to do PT for a month or two. He never followed up. After completing a full month of PT with little progress, I contacted his office. Instead of speaking with him, my case was transferred over the phone to his colleague, Dr. Cohn.When I saw Dr. Cohn, he immediately identified my ACL as completely torn—within just 10 seconds of reviewing my MRI. He told me I needed reconstruction surgery, not PT.Dr. Scuderi wasted an entire month of me on ineffective PT. Had he properly reviewed my MRI, he would have seen the severity of my injury and provided the appropriate guidance, if he cared enough to look
