About Me

I am a fanfiction writer whose main fandom is Doctor Who! My favorite genres are fluff, slice of life, romance, smut, and family fics/kid fics. I also love AUs no matter how mundane, and I shamelessly treat the Sixth Doctor and Peri like Barbie dolls. I am a supporter of RPF and kink.

My AO3 is [archiveofourown.org profile] commanderbayban and my (incredibly incomplete) website is located at this link.

Fandom things I’d love to receive:
  • Fluffy romance stories involving relationships I enjoy (Rose DeWitt Bukater/Thomas Andrews, John Bates/Anna Bates, Carson/Hughes, Pete Campbell/Trudy Campbell, Miriel/Laurent, Miriel/Virion, to name a few)
  • Recommendations for slice of life shows, either vintage or contemporary. My only requirements are (1) no sitcoms, (2) a focus on interpersonal drama, but overall the show is low stakes, (3) no fantasy, sci-fi, or historicals pre-20th century, (4) romance is a plus
  • Art of the Sixth Doctor!
  • Fandom zines! I’d love to read any fandom-oriented zines, from ones created through a collaboration with various artists, or ones created by a singular person
  • Recommendations for slice of life novellas written in episodic style like “The House on Mango Street” or essay books/literary criticisms like “The Book of Delights” by Ross Gay. Nothing political, please.

Title: Pseudanthium (AO3)
Fandom: Doctor Who (1963)
Relationship: Sixth Doctor & Peri Brown
Rating: G

A 100-word drabble based on the idea of daisies symbolizing “the ability to keep things secret”. Fun fact: the offshoots of a daisy aren’t the petals. They’re individual florets that connect to the tinier collection of flowers in the middle of the daisy. The entire structure is called an a pseudanthium (meaning “false flower” in Greek). By presenting as one large flower, the plant has a greater chance at attracting pollinators. This is also the case for sunflowers and the like.

Title: Holy Matrimony (AO3)
Fandom: Doctor Who (1963)
Relationship: Sixth Doctor/Peri Brown
Rating: G

A 100-word drabble I wanted to write before the second prompt opened! Since “Iris” means rainbow, it begged for a SixPeri story. Fun fact: eons ago I wrote a longfic that featured a chapter of these two wandering through a field of irises. Didn’t get around to finishing that story though…sigh.
