Because I just read a fic that made me sob, I've got to know. So tell me, which fics have made you cry? Not just the ones that you thought were sad, but the ones that literally brought tears to your eyes. I'm sure I can't be the only one who had burst into tears over a particularly sad fic, so tell me. I want to knoooow. Share the link too, if you have it, so we can all go read it sniffle into our hankies.

The list of fics I can actually remember crying over (though I'm sure there are a few more I'm forgetting) is thus:

Stages of Love (Murderers in a Minor Key Remix) by [livejournal.com profile] jammasterjayne. I can't...even describe this one. It's so hard to portray Schwarz as sympathetic, even tragic, characters and do it realisticly, but oh man, did this fic pull it off. Cried like a baby, yep. I can't wait to see who wrote this one.

Tomorrow and Tomorrow by [livejournal.com profile] devikun. Oh geez, I cried so hard over this one, I can't even tell you. It hit all my emo buttons, and was so pretty and beautifully written. *sniffs*

When You Go There by [livejournal.com profile] emungere. The layers in this story are just breathtaking. And the family traumas at play are just painful and indescribably touching.

Such Great Heights part one and two by [livejournal.com profile] eris_frost. Exquisitely written. It's pretty much told from Goku's point of view, but it was Sanzo who broke my heart in this. Because really, what would he do without his monkey? I weep at the ending to this. So sad.

On a Deaf Ear by [livejournal.com profile] trensaddiction. The relationship between Sanzo and Goku just makes this sadder. Goku is so devoted and Sanzo is so afraid of depending on anyone and letting them see him vulnerable. Soooob.

So yeah. It's funny, looking over this list I can clearly see some repeating themes here. People getting old and sick and dying is obviously my emo button. I think I just find something monstrously unfair in the fact that people get to live a long, happy life and find someone they love, and then they have to leave that person. That just doesn't seem right. Also, stories about people taking care of their loved ones when they're old and sick = soppy, teary [livejournal.com profile] cicer. That kind of profound love and devotion hits me right in the heart. Oof.

So! If I haven't totally depressed you by now, share your list of Fics That Made You Cry Like A Little Girl. :D

[livejournal.com profile] edonohana's Autumn Gold (http://edonohana.livejournal.com/8453.html) almost always makes me cry, not because it's about death, but because it's also about reincarnation and all that great Gaiden angsty stuff as well.

Oh, that is a lovely story, and painfully sad. The dialogue between the two of them really chokes me up. You are not to hurry to meet me *sobs*

Excellent post! I was just crying over Stages, too. ;___;

Oh yes, I agree--those stories you listed Make Me Cry Like a Little Girl. XD

Recently? I remember [livejournal.com profile] emungere's Door Number Two is Fic That Made Me Cry Like a Little Girl. ;) I think it was the idea of someone who you depend on to take care of you, but can't, and can't even take care of themselves. I loved Jien doing what he did at the end.

Also yeah--the taking care of sick/dying loved ones. [livejournal.com profile] viridian5's Not With a Bang is all about the snotty wet bawling for me.

Bits of [livejournal.com profile] mami_san's Alles Schwarz makes me cry like a bitch with a skinned knee, to quote Kevin Smith. I think it's Schuldig's resilience in the face of life delivering some really savage nut-kicks. (Though hmm... there's that "caring for a sick loved one" theme, too. ♥ )

Bits of [livejournal.com profile] aoeliveshere's Harmonics Arc makes me cry. Rejection, missed opportunities. Fear and compromising.

(I'm probably a little strange, but [livejournal.com profile] emungere's flying car dream ficlet also makes me tear up. But that's more bittersweet?)

Oh, and anything where Gojyo's heartbroken or generally smited by life, but he's being brave and stoic. *heart: BROKEN* *tears: all over my keyboard* XD Damn, I wish I'd bookmarked my favorites. *headdesks*

Happy tears! XD [livejournal.com profile] mami_san's My Happy Ending gives me tearful wibble. (shh)

Arg. I just know I'm forgetting more of my favorites. ;) *goes to restock tissues*

Oooo, several of these are ones I haven't see! I agree, though, Not With a Bang is so sad, oh god. Deathfics always make me weepy. And as for Door Number Two...I can't even say how poignant and exquisitely lovely that one is. Jien just breaks my heart, this poor little boy with far too much on his shoulders. So sad.

Thanks for sharing these stories!

Just a few Good Omens ones for now, as even thinking about them is making me tear up . . .

Clocks by [livejournal.com profile] mercuriosity and Living Arrangements by afrai both make me weep salt tears. For more Good Omens weeping, I love A Broken Hallelujah, by Carmarthen.

Living Arrangments totally makes me cry. The endiiiing. *sniffs* So sad. I hadn't read the other two, though. Thanks for linking! Oh, those are so sad too...*runs off to fetch another hanky*

It's late, so I can only think of one right now. But. [livejournal.com profile] louiselux's Imperfection (http://louiselux.livejournal.com/232630.html) makes me sniffle EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Oh my GOD, that one is so sad. I think that one might belong on the list of ones that acutally made me cry, too. It's just so sweet, and then it goes and breaks your heart. Oof.

I don't think I cried, but the first time I read How Far Do You Bend? by [livejournal.com profile] nekonexus, I had to watch The Princess Bride immediately after because I hated life that much.

Most recently, One Bird to Sing made me tear up, with it's lovely bittersweetness.

One Bird to Sing is so lovely. I'm such a sucker for Gaiden fics, but they always make me terribly sad because I know what happens late. Ack.

...Oh boy. I hadn't seen How Far Do You Bend?. Eeek. Now I kind of hate life too. *crawls into a hole of depression*

[livejournal.com profile] viridian5's Schwarzschild Radius (http://viridian.shriftweb.org/) stayed with me a long time after I read it. Just thinking about the last words between them make me teary.
