European Hyperloop Week, where students build the future at 1,000 km/h.

Info

EHW is more than three initials. It’s a movement—an initiative—a purpose. EHW brings to light everything that happens between the workshops, between the graphics, between the data. It’s about revealing the unseen. It’s about introducing the world to the fifth mode of transport — the train that takes us from where we are to where we’re going. EHW is about all of us. Together, we move forward.

What a week! With this EHW 2026 comes to and end. A huge thank you to the people behind European Hyperloop Week 2026 An event like EHW doesn't happen on its own. Behind every inspection, every presentation and every demonstration stood a team of inspectors, volunteers and crew members who gave their time and energy to make this week possible. A special thank you to the people who led the way: Marinus van der Meijs — EHW Director, for steering the entire event. Daniel Patron — Inspection Lead, for keeping every pod safe and competition-ready. Lukas Eschment — Jury Lead, for guiding a fair and rigorous evaluation. Ziao Tang — Crew Lead, for keeping everything running on the ground. And to every inspector, volunteer and crew member who showed up early, stayed late and made it all work — thank you. EHW is built by this community, and it shows. Until next year!

  • Day 6 of European Hyperloop Week — the highlight day A tradition we've kept over the years is Public Day: the chance to bring hyperloop technology right to people's doorsteps. As in previous years, we were thrilled to see so many visitors come out — some to cheer on family, others simply to experience hyperloop up close. It's also the day teams show the world what their systems can do. Their demonstrations are a major part of the competition's evaluation. Stay tuned: EHW 2026's results are coming soon!

  • Day 5 of European Hyperloop Week As teams continue to battle for the Engineering Design Award, our jury has selected the top 3 research papers in two categories: socio-economic and technical research. Competing for the top spots in socio-economic research: Smith Engineering Hyperloop Design Team, Delft Hyperloop and Hyperloopin. And in full-scale technical research: Swissloop, Delft Hyperloop and Hyperloop UPV. Every presentation was a pleasure to watch. Best of luck to all six teams!

  • Day 4 of European Hyperloop Week As inspections continue, EHW has entered the Design Q&A, where our jury evaluates each team's design and prototype. A major part of the competition. Teams have been working on their pods from early morning to late night, and we're proud to see students pour so much effort into a technology they're truly fascinated by. But EHW isn't only about technology. It's about a community that shares a love for engineering Best of luck to all the teams, we can't wait to see your demonstrations on Saturday!

  • Day 3 of European Hyperloop Week While the teams are busy preparing their prototypes for technical inspection, our jury has been diving into the socio-economic and full-scale research papers. Teams from around the globe brought bold ideas to advance and validate hyperloop's future as the 5th mode of transportation. A huge shout-out to every team behind these outstanding papers 🙌 We can't wait to crown this year's winners in each research category!

  • Day 2 of EHW 2026! As more teams clear technical inspections, we're proud to announce the support of Provincie Groningen! 🙌 Together, we're challenging the teams in collaboration with Provincie Groningen with a case study workshop: presenting their vision for the future of the European Hyperloop Center and how one of the most hyperloop-advanced places on Earth can further accelerate their development. Together with the next generation of engineers, let's make the hyperloop vision a reality! Thank you, Provincie Groningen, for the support and to the teams, keep pushing!
