Okay, artists, I have a question that hopefully one of you can answer for me.

I have some really great ideas for some art , but I'm having problems with my tablet.  I have an HP and my pen is broken.  I have it duct-taped back together (yeah, I know, duct tape doesn't actually fix everything).  The pen follows my commands and I can open pages and write with it and everything, but when I go to draw in Gimp with it, it doesn't work.  It will open new layers, and open drop down menus, and make selections, but it won't let me do anything in my layers.  I can't draw or blend or bucket fill or anything.

I know that the program is working correctly because when I click the box that allows me to do input with my finger, I can draw in Gimp with no problem (I use a chopstick!).  But the line is shaky and not accurate.  And it's not quite where I want it.  

So, basically, what do you think the problem is?  Do you think I need a new pen?  Why would my pen work as an input devise, but not let me draw with it?  It's driving me crazy.  I wants to get my comix on, but I can't!  Argghh!

 Hello everyone!!  I got a Kindle for Christmas.  And I love it and I've decorated it's cover and I've named it Kendall.  And I've read two books on it.  Kendall is my new best friend.  But Kendall seems to be lacking in porn.  That's right.  All those free Classics and Hunger Games and some stolen Harry Potter (because they're not available for purchase on amazon and honestly, me owning a hardcopy set and several softcovers should give me the right to not have to buy them anymore).  All that and I still feel as though my Kendall is sad.  

So what I'm going to need from all of you is for you to put your stories in a format that Kendall can read and then give them to me!  That is all.  Thanks.

So, a big apology to those I said I'd send holiday cards to.  I actually got the drawings done on time (which is good, because I'm a serial procrastinator) and was getting ready to print them, when I discovered I was out of coloured printer ink.  So I got some the next day, only to have my computer die on me.  It was the day before Christmas when I finally fixed the problem (hopefully).  So, now I just attempted to print out the cards, because really, who minds late cards, when I found out my black ink is out.  At which point I said "Fuck it," and am now just going to post them here for everyone to enjoy.  So, sorry you didn't get your card, but Merry Late Christmas anyways.  Love you all!
