For her own sanity and the curiousity of other players,

ashavah has prepared the following timeline for Jack Harkness, starting with his childhood in the 51st century. The timeline contains Jack's approximate age (the only linear way to keep track of his timeline), the date, the place, the events, and the canon source information is taken from.

Spoilers through Torchwood: Miracle Day, though mentions of actual events of Torchwood are limited to major plot points or completion of earlier plot arcs.

According to emails between the characters published on the BBC Torchwood website, the dates for episodes of Season 2 of Torchwood are as follows.

The dates approximately reflect the original air dates of the episodes (link contains episode summaries, read with caution).

January 16, 2008: 2.01 Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

January 23, 2008: 2.02 Sleeper

January 30, 2008: 2.03 To the Last Man (n.b.: this conflicts with the on-screen appearance of the date "Friday 20th" in the episode)

February 20/21, 2008: 2.06 Reset

March 12, 2008 (approx.): 2.09 Something Borrowed

March 19/20, 2008: 2.10 From Out of the Rain

(Jack enters the Outpost from March 20, just after From Out of the Rain and before Adrift.)

March 21/22, 2008: 2.11 Adrift

March 29, 2008: 2.12 Fragments/2.13 Exit Wounds
