Hey guys! I'm just a dog lover at the moment. My family has always owned cats, and while I'm 23 I'm still living at home for a while because the economy I think it's fun. DX I've ALWAYS wanted to own a Siberian Huksy (or Husky / Shepherd mix), but I am willing to admit that with my lifestyle the way it is, I'm probably not an ideal husky owner. The energy and high-maintenance training I'd do fine with, but as I own a horse and spend quite a lot of my day at a barn with said horse, the on-leash bit of typical husky life probably wouldn't work as well unless I was able to find the perfect husky, even with training.
I have developed an affection for Australian Cattle Dogs ("Blue/Red Heelers") lately, as well as a number of other spitz-type breeds.
But, until I'm more financially secure, (and living elsewhere, probably) I live vicariously on my friends' and relatives' dogs. I do read and learn about training tactics and philosophies as much as I can; I've always been told that I'm a natural when it comes to dogs, but that probably doesn't actually mean much other than that I'm sensitive to canine body language and my own cues/posturing.
In conclusion, I'm really looking forward to hearing about everyone else's dog(s)! =)
