Testing the Dreamwidth waters.

I live in SE Massachusetts, with julian and a small tank of small guppies. Unless I miss my guess, we're going to be getting a cat soon, too.

I recently earned my MA in Counseling Psychology (at Lesley University, insert shout-out here), and am working toward licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician. I work with children and families, and my heart belongs to play therapy (yes, even for the adults).

I read and reread enormous quantities SFF, crime fiction/suspense, and 'Women's Fiction', and can, given the opportunity, wax wroth at the stigmatization of genres. I can happily marathon TV series when I find ones I like, but I'm picky: I want shows written by, for, and about intelligent people, with good story-arcs and no embarrassment humor. And above and beyond that, I have to like the characters. So I go for a long time not watching any TV shows, sometimes.

I crochet, make jewelry and wire sculpture, draw, make my own skin-care products, take landscape photographs, sing, study languages for fun, and every once in a while cook something. I'll cheerfully learn (or attempt to learn) almost any new skill I come across, from picking locks to repurposing cheap housewares. I occasionally go hiking or camping, and have a tropism for running water.

I'm introspective like whoa and verbose as hell. You have been warned.
