What powers a strong team? Connection. Guided by the belief that if you want to go far, go together, GB partnered with HOK, Barry Bryan Associates, H.H. Angus & Associates Ltd., and Indigenous Community Engagement (ICE) to transform an existing four-storey facility into Ontario Power Generation’s new headquarters in Oshawa. Designed and built to bring people together, foster collaboration, and spark new ideas, the workspace reflects the same collective energy that powered its delivery. We were honoured to see this collaborative effort recognized at the 29th Best of Canada Design Awards. Congrats to the entire project team on this accomplishment! #CorporateInteriors #Workplace #FutureOfWork #WeBuildDifferently

You don’t make the list by following convention. You do it by continually raising the standard. Over the past thirty years, we’ve grown without ever growing complacent. And as it turns out, building with curiosity, challenging complexity, and finding simpler ways forward can earn you a spot on Canada’s Top 40 Contractors. 22 feels pretty good. We’ll keep earning it. #Top40Contractors #WeBuildDifferently

The shortest distance between two floors starts by thinking several steps ahead. From an architectural statement to streamlining how teams move through a space, an interconnecting staircase elevates the workplace in more ways than one. And the best ones aren't measured by the steps they add, but by the barriers they remove. Bringing that same approach to construction means creating a plan that keeps every consultant and trade partner moving in lockstep. Here’s a snapshot of how we’ve applied this approach across projects, turning complex scopes into seamless connections: 1. Confidential Tech Sector Client – Designer: M Moser Associates 2. A business’s most important asset is often hiding in plain sight. Found in the people whose value can’t be easily summed up on a balance sheet, their impact is felt day-to-day in how the work gets done, relationships are built, and organizations move forward. It’s critical then that these teams be supported by an environment that shapes how the work is experienced and not just where it happens. Here are some of the ways our Calgary team has put this philosophy into practice and built workplaces where collaboration, culture, and connection are all enabled: 1. PwC Calgary - Four-floor workplace at Suncor Energy Centre | Designer: M Moser Associates 2. Alberta Electric System Operator - Multi-floor workplace at BP Centre | Designer: iN STUDIO 3. AltaGas Head Office - Multi-storey workplace at 707 Fifth | Designer: Zeidler Architecture 4. South Bow HQ - Multi-storey workplace at 707 Fifth | Designer: Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning 5. The Co-operators - Calgary's first WELL Gold certified workplace at First Tower | Designer: HOK | Project Manager: JLL #GBCalgary #CorporateInteriors #WeBuildDifferently

5 offices across Canada feels extra special today. To celebrate, here are a few fun facts about the cities where we’ve proudly planted a GB flag: Toronto’s PATH stretches more than 30 km underground and is used by 200,000+ commuters daily. Kitchener-Waterloo’s Oktoberfest started in 1969 with just $200 and local volunteers. Today, it welcomes up to 700,000 visitors annually. Edmonton is one of Canada’s sunniest cities, with about 2,299 hours of sunshine each year and up to 17 hours of daylight in the summer. Calgary sits where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet, in an area also known as Moh-kins-tsis in Blackfoot. The Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest port, connecting Canadian trade to more than 170 world economies. Happy Canada Day! #CanadaDay #July1 #ProudlyCanadian #WeBuildDifferently

This Pride Month, we didn't stop. Guided by this year's theme, We Won't Stop, GB'ers across the country showed up over and over again in true village fashion, coming together throughout the month to connect and stand with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. From conversations that deepened our collective understanding to moments that brought people together in celebration and solidarity, this year’s Pride was a reminder that inclusion isn't built in isolation, it's built together. It takes a village, after all, and GB-ers won't stop showing up for one another. #Pride2026 #WeWontStop #ItTakesAVillage #WeBuildDifferently

The biggest tournament starts with the smallest pitches. ⚽ While the world's eyes are on the game, we're proud to have played a small part in growing it here at home. GB partnered with the City of Toronto to build a FIFA Mini Pitch, creating lasting spaces where communities can connect and future stars can get their first touch. Game on. Power to the People What’s the total reward of a project? Building a workplace goes beyond employee engagement and serves a greater purpose. Our SW Ontario team was proud to be the team behind the team, supporting People Corporation in delivering their new Cambridge office, a space made to empower their people and help them help others. Now that’s what we call a group benefit. Designer: Rodych Integrated Design Inc (RIDI) Photography: DesignSQ #SWOntario #Construction #WeBuildDifferently

Every community has a story, and every place has a history. June 21st marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, an opportunity to honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples whose cultures and knowledge shape where we live, work, and gather. Today, we recognize the importance of listening to Indigenous voices, learning from their perspectives, and fostering relationships rooted in respect and understanding. GB's Got Game 🏀 It was nothing but net when we brought together our team and industry partners for the 4th Annual GB Cup Tournament. This year we swapped the rink for the court, with teams bringing their A-game for more than just a friendly pick-up game. Congratulations to Page Flooring Inc. for their full court press that ultimately had them taking home top prize. And while there were plenty of highlight-reel moments, the real slam dunk was raising $35,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada and helping make some dreams come true (and not exclusively the hoop variety!). A huge thank you to our partners who provided the assists and helped make the event a swish from tip off to final buzzer. Maxan Interior Systems CMS Electrical Group Ltd.
