My cousins had this set (but the 6388 version), when I was a kid. I was always jealous, it was one of those beautiful 80s Town sets.
I love this set!!! Such a classic from my childhood!! I remember getting it from a toy shop called the Green Giant!!
Amazing set, simple, yet contains a lot of things for what's considered fairly "small" at around 350 parts nowadays.
Nice little set, love the kind of houses that, are almost a "V" shape with the roof. I don't know why.
Ok huwbot, are you okay? That's like 8 RSotD that are really good....
This was my first ever LEGO set...
Ooh I quite like this one
Better cars than a modern day creator house set.
The motor on that boat is extremely creative and a really effective use of the parts available at the time!
One of the all-time greatest Town sets, at least in my opinion.
Ah, yes... The one that got away.
This is what City should be: a lot of playability, good design and just a lot of charm
What a beautiful set. Bright, colourful and interactive with so many elements. Classic Town.
My wife's first ever LEGO set - just bought a decent one for her off feebay this year!
This set has an amazing playability; all these vehicles and minifigs, with a beautiful house (too bad, no bedroom inside)
This is one of those sets that should have been released. Add some updated figs and food and both kids and adults would love it
Beautiful set!!! Classic City Lego set are sooo nice!!
This was the first set to use a mailbox as cooker/stove. Very detailed kitchen for its day.
Nice! I never actually owned this one (it came out a couple years before I was born), but...,
My wife loves A-frame houses. So, when we were first married, I got the instructions for this one from Peeron and built it, modifying it slightly so the roof went all the way down. It was one of the nicer-looking things on my Lego shelf, that’s for sure!
I envy people whose first lego set this was. It looks completely amazing.
I had this as a kid, growing up in Canada. My parents kept telling me "if these LEGO are not stored once you are done playing, it's the vacuum cleaner and the trash can that will get them!" Yet, they could see how much fun I was having constructing this cottage again and again with add-ons, like a satellite launcher or a 2x4 tower in many colours... It was later given - without my approval - to our neighbours during my university years.
This set is incredible
It really is a gorgeous set. I would have loved this as a kid. Would still look good in a modern city. I might try to recreate it from all the random parts I have.
Great set, got one after my dark ages from eBay.. I love all of the 'vacation' houses, and similar type sets with the caravans/camper trailers and the like.
