My boyfriend remembers a book about animals that at first he said were dinosaurs, but later thought maybe they were creatures or monsters. They were mean to each other, some ate others, some breathed fire, and in the end a flower grew (maybe out of a fire) that they all hated. Hoping to surprise him for Christmas so any leads would be greatly appreciated!
