Patricia Briggs - Silver Borne
Love conquers all? And now I want a large stuffed toy to cuddle with ^^;

Jim Butcher - Changes
Very very cruel cliffhanger. And family skeletons? keep popping out of the woodwork

Seanan McGuire - Rosemary & Rue
Author definitely not pulling her punches with the way her story going. And I want a Spike ^^

Seanan McGuire - Local Inhibitation
Hmm second book can see why a review is comparing this series as Mercy Thompson, Dresden-style, which is pretty ironic, considering what I have been reading previously

John Flanagan - Halt's Peril
Best 1 hour spend at a bookstore. This ties up the Clonmel arc and pretty much clears up who will end up with who

I have always been more of a fantasy reader rather then sc-fi reader. Needless to say the ratio of the books read in these two genre is pretty uneven. But below are some sci-fi books that I have enjoyed. I will say the main similarity is the main protagonist are females and belong to structured organizations where the stories take place in space
A while back, I finished reading Melisa Scott's Road to Heaven's series **spoilers which I actually read because it was mentioned as books that have slash factor in it, but turned out to be a threesome. Major plot includes that the heroine Silence Leigh is a special-breed of pilot as the routes between destinations have their own special roadpost and Silence can actually read them better then anyone else, even obscure one (well, that is rather the simplified version)

Fast forward, reading Ann Aguirre's Jax series and you may got a sense of deja-vu due to the close nature of the main plot. But it differs enough in a lot of ways as it follows its own storyline.

I think reading the two series above helps to convince me to also pick up the first book from Laura E. Reeve's Peeacekeper. It is intriguing enough but right now I'm waiting for the other books in the series before I would come back to this
