benjaminlinus is a fan community dedicated to the character Benjamin Linus from Lost. As far as I know, nobody who moderates or uses this community are in any way affiliated with ABC or the show's creators, nor are they affiliated with the wonderful Michael Emerson, who plays Ben on the show.

Rules and Posting Guidelines
1. Don't be a hater! The basic, common sense first rule of all internet interaction is to be at least civil to one another. Don't call each other names, don't troll, don't flame. You can disagree, and passionately so, but when it sinks to the level of name calling and trolling you may find yourself banned. If Ben and Charles can keep it civil even when they're threatening to kill everybody else around them, you can be so, too!

2. Keep it related to Lost. Michael Emerson has played a handful of memorable roles before playing Benjamin Linus. Unfortunately, this community isn't about Saw, or The Practice, or Ready? OK! (sadly, because we could always use a little dancing Emerson once in a while). Any post about a fandom or a character unrelated to Lost will be deleted. That being said, if you've written a crossover fic, by all means, post it! Speaking of which...

3. Yes, Annie, you can post fan fiction, just make sure it's properly labeled! If your fic is unabashed smut, say so. If it's slash...well, just post the pairing, because obviously Ben and Locke or Richard or Charles or Tom are all men. No, the actual fic itself does not need to be posted in the community. If you want to link back to the post on your journal, go ahead! We welcome and respect any and all ships here except Ben/Vincent, because that's just wrong (Vincent is too good for him).

4. Episode discussion will be limited to an official episode post on the night the episode airs in the United States. If there's something specific you want to discuss the day after, such as a plot point you're confused about, you can make a separate post, but overall reactions to the episode will have to be restricted to the official episode post.

5. Dude, be careful with your spoilers! All spoilers must be posted in a new entry and hidden behind a cut. Please be painfully vague with the entry subject title and the cut text (i.e. "Episode 5x15 spoilers", not "BAD NEWS FOR BEN!!!!").

6. Likewise, be careful with your picspam. You can only post one picture above a cut; the rest must go behind the cut. Icons are a different matter. You can post up to three; everything else must go behind a cut.

7. Above all, have fun! Yes, Lost is a Very Serious Show about Very Serious Issues like having douchebags for fathers, but that doesn't mean we have to be serious! (Okay, you can be serious if you want. Honestly. Nobody's going to sic the Smoke Monster on you if you want to discuss Ben's broken childhood. Just remember to bring the Kleenex and the chocolates if it gets too wibbly.)
