There you are, minding your own business when you have to get on an elevator. Maybe you're on your way to work or home. Maybe you're out running errands. Maybe you're visiting someone or some other various reason.

It's just a box that goes up and down until it doesn't. It suddenly stops and now you're stuck. Uh-oh.

How to play!
⬧ Post a top-level comment with your character and why they are taking an elevator that day. Try not to leave a blank comment.
⬧ The options are almost endless! Is your character claustrophobic? Is the elevator in dire need of repairs or is it standard maintenance gone awry? Has the power gone out? Is it a trap? Any hanky-panky happening? What's going on?
⬧Have fun! Maybe you'll make a new friend or a nemesis. Who knows?

A moment after it's clear the elevator has stopped, he turns to the fellow captor. ]

[Time to live his best action movie life and climb up through the would-be emergency exit in the ceiling that elevators cabins always seem to have.]

[This is a bad idea, but they're running out of ideas. Sam drops his bag and gives him a boost with a grunt.]

[Okay, so far so good. Dean can push aside that hatch, and -... WOW he's going to knee you in the face for that comment!! Or try to, though not very hard. By rights he should fart on you too, but he's way too great a brother for that. You can thank him later.]

[Dean gives Sam a pointed look before hoisting himself the rest of the way up and onto the "roof" of the elevator cabin. The flashlight's in Sam's bag, but there's just enough light coming up from the elevator cabin, and through the cracks in the many elevator doors along the shaft, that Dean can see where he's got solid footing. It's just the very top of the shaft that's still too shadowy to see a damn thing, but there's no reason to assume that whatever monster they're hunting is living there.]

Okay, the next floor up's at about waist height. Just need to get the doors open.

[They can probably manage that with a knife or something. But first Dean will reach down through the hatch so he can help Sam get up on the roof as well.]

[ A jolt, accompanied by a noise that one never hopes to hear when shut in a large metal box, and Esther's attention glides from her phone, to the briefly flickering lights, to the panel of buttons. ]
