WA’s GST is working for Australia. WA produces almost half of the nation’s exports, yet we receive a lower GST share than any other state or territory. The Productivity Commission released its interim report into the review of the 2018 GST reforms. Its recommendations could leave WA up to $6 billion worse off per year. That’s money that helps fund essential services like hospitals, schools, regional programs, and infrastructure that West Australians rely on. It also supports job-creating projects that drive the national economy, such as roads, ports, power and water infrastructure. More than 6,000 Western Australians have already told us why maintaining the current GST arrangements matters for jobs, infrastructure, regional services, and our State's future growth. Join the fight and get the facts👉 WA.gov.au/GST

More than 6,000 Western Australians contributed to the conversation on GST Reforms – and their message was clear. An overwhelming 95% supported WA keeping its current share of the GST, highlighting the importance to not just funding our hospitals and schools, but the investments in economic infrastructure and policies that fuel WA's economy and the national economy too. This valuable feedback helped inform the WA People's Submission to the Productivity Commission's inquiry. The interim report is due 14 August but there’s still time to make your voice heard while the final submissions are taking place. ℹ️ Find out how at https://lnkd.in/e_V8U4Xr

Congratulations to Gold Corporation - The Perth Mint and the many specialists behind the world's largest gold bar, a remarkable demonstration of local skill, innovation and industry excellence.🥇
✨ History has been made at The Perth Mint. On 9 July 2026, we officially achieved the Guinness World Records title for the Largest Bar of Gold. It weighed 521.2 kilograms, refined to 99.999% purity and was made entirely of Australian Origin Gold™. While the record itself is exciting, what makes us most proud is the teamwork behind it. More than 35 specialists from across our Refinery and Assay Laboratory contributed to this project, bringing together generations of experience, technical expertise and innovation to achieve something that has never been done before. The achievement also reflects the strength of Australia's gold industry. We're grateful to our producer partners AngloGold Ashanti Australia BHP Evolution Mining GOLD FIELDS Greatland Newmont Australia Northern Star Resources Limited Norton Gold Fields Pty Ltd and Pantoro Gold whose gold contributed to this world-record bar and helped showcase what is possible when world-class Australian gold production meets world-class refining capability. #ThePerthMint #GuinnessWorldRecords #Gold
