Would you notice if you were paying for licences nobody used? Correction subscriptions arrive on the same quote as the hardware and renew the same way quietly, once a year, unreviewed. There's a name for what happens to a price nobody reviews: the loyalty tax. The customer who isn't looking is the one who funds it. One question: how many correction licences are you paying for, and how many were actually connected last month? If it's all of them, nothing to do. Renewal season is quietly coming around for a lot of survey and civil teams. And it’s easy to roll over another 12 months of GNSS correction licences without really questioning whether the setup still fits. Before signing off, it may be worth asking: ⚫ How many of last year’s licences were actually active across the full term? ⚫ Can you turn licences on and off as projects start and finish? ⚫ Are you paying annual rates for units that sit idle for months at a time? If the answers are comfortable, there may be no reason to change. But if a couple of them are harder to answer, it might be worth comparing your options before the renewal locks in for another year. #surveying #civilconstruction #GNSS #machinecontrol

We’re heading to Brisbane for the 12d Tech Forum 2026! You'll find the Mondo Pin team at the Civillo booth across all three days at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. If you're in surveying, civil, engineering or digital delivery, it's a good chance for a practical chat about your GNSS corrections. What's working, what isn't, and whether your current setup still fits how your team works. Happy to: • Walk you through the licence portal and how active connections work • Compare notes on network performance in your area • Talk through any GNSS questions Booth time fills up fast. If you'd like a set time rather than catching us between sessions, drop me a message and I'll lock one in. We’re grateful for the continued support from Mondo Pin users across Australia. Over the past few months, we’ve been working on updates to our web portal, shaped directly by customer feedback. Coming soon, users will see: • Greater visibility over active connections • Clearer oversight of usage and costs • Easier management across multiple connections In construction and surveying, transparency and control matter. These improvements are focused on making day-to-day management simpler and more efficient. 2025 was a year of quietly strengthening the Mondo Pin network. We expanded coverage with 27 new stations, improved redundancy across the network, and validated our architecture through our first international deployment. Looking ahead to 2026, our focus is on: • Expanding the network into New Zealand • Delivering a next-generation web portal built for speed, clarity, and operational insight • Continuing to scale without compromising reliability Our goal remains simple: provide a correction network that clients can depend on today, and confidently build around tomorrow.
