ANI welcomes the decision by Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator (ANNPSR) to issue ANI an Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Licence for specific regulated activities within the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard at Osborne, South Australia. The licence enables ANI to commence regulated site preparation activities, including ground investigations and earthworks, within a defined area of the new yard. This marks an important regulatory milestone for ANI and supports the next phase of activity at Osborne as we continue delivering the infrastructure needed for Australia’s future SSN-AUKUS submarine capability. It also reflects ANI’s ongoing commitment to nuclear stewardship, strong governance and safety. Big step forward for the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard at Osborne. We’re pleased to welcome Laing O'Rourke Construction Australia and Amentum Australia as ANI’s Capability Partner, bringing specialist experience to support this nationally significant project as we continue to build on our capability and move at scale into delivery here in South Australia. We welcome today's announcement of a further $4.6 billion investment in ANI to support delivery of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard, bringing total Government investment in the project to $8.5 billion. One of the things we enjoy most at ANI is hosting visitors at Osborne and seeing their reaction to the sheer scale of what is taking shape. No matter how much you talk about it, the magnitude of the project is difficult to appreciate until you stand in the middle of it.

We're looking for a Nuclear Compliance Lead ☢️ 📍 Adelaide | Australian Naval Infrastructure Lead the development and delivery of ANI's nuclear compliance activities, helping to ensure regulatory, licensing and permitting obligations are effectively managed across a nationally significant infrastructure program. Working within our Nuclear Stewardship team, you'll support regulatory engagement, compliance assurance, audits and continuous improvement initiatives while strengthening ANI's nuclear governance framework.
