At World PM 2026 (25-29 June) in Montréal, Dr. Martin Dopler, CTO at METALPINE, will present findings in his presentation “Analysis of Explosion Characteristics of Fine Titanium Powders”. The presentation focuses on key explosion parameters such as Minimum Explosible Concentration (MEC), Minimum Oxygen Concentration (MOC), Minimum Ignition Temperature (MIT), Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE), as well as Pmax and Kst. 🔬 The results also show how particle size distribution, powder morphology, oxide layers, and ambient conditions influence explosion risk. In addition, in-house measurement results will be compared with published literature data to better understand the impact of material properties and testing conditions. The unique structure in addition to the nearly perfect spherical shape led us to do something great with it. We finally created a giant inflatable powder particle, which has been part of our exhibition booth design over the last years!
