Today, Minnesotans across the state are coming together in nonviolent moral action in response to escalating federal activity that has left families shaken, neighbors afraid, and entire communities on edge. They have made a collective decision to pause business as usual and make visible the solidarity people have been practicing in the wake of the dangerous escalation from federal agencies.
This statewide day of action centers on a coordinated pause in daily economic life and a shared commitment to community, reflection, and public presence. It reinforces that what is happening in our neighborhoods demands attention and collective response rather than silence or isolation.
How Minnesotans are taking part today:
Pausing work when possible, except for emergency services, while organizing coworkers, encouraging workplaces to close in solidarity, and showing up together
Pausing school activities, with students and educators organizing walkouts and collective reflection
Refraining from shopping or consumer spending, while encouraging local businesses to publicly stand with their communities
Gathering with family members, neighbors, and community groups across the state to talk, reflect, and strengthen connections
Later today at 2PM, Minnesotans from across the state will gather for a peaceful march and rally in downtown Minneapolis, creating a unified public presence that reflects the strength of people acting together across communities.

The U.S. Department of Justice is not investigating ICE agent Jonathan Ross for the fatal shooting of Renee Good, U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Sunday.
But the top DOJ official confirmed that an investigation is underway into Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for “actively encouraging” protesters “to go out on the street and impede ICE.”
“No matter who you are, whether you’re a governor, a mayor or somebody out there on the streets assaulting ICE ... under federal law, you cannot impede a federal officer doing their job, and that’s what we’re looking at,” Blanche said on Fox News Sunday, marking the first time a department official has publicly confirmed the investigation into the Democrats.
