it's been ages since i've changed it.

it was Mediterranean Peach by branchandroot for Modular because i wanted to keep using my headers, but i guess you can do that with most styles(?).

i tried New Ocean by dancing_serpent for Tranquility III, but my current header had part of the beginning of the image added at the end.

i'm using Night Sea by branchandroot for Tranquility III. i might change it, it's kind of dark for my liking.

ETA: I was right it was too dark. i must have tried a dozen or more styles & all of them had my current header had part of the beginning of the image added at the end. even different colors of Modular. so, i'm back to where i started from. maybe someone smarter than me knows how to fix the header issue. but i'm tired of banging my head against a wall.

ETA 2: OMG! i had to center the header and select "don't tile" to get it to work. new layout/theme is New Ocean by dancing_serpent for Tranquility III.
and now that i figured this out, i may be changing it now and then.

Friends,

We are completing the outgoing year by serious changes aimed at supporting responsible authors of quality content and protecting against bots, spam and abuse.

Our community is the most important thing we have. To make the discussion space even better, useful and secure for everyone, we introduce some changes to the content publishing rules.

Starting from December 29, 2025, the ability to create new posts, comments and other content will be available to users who make a more significant contribution to the platform’s life. We believe that this will be a new stage in the development of our common space for thoughts and ideas.

What exactly is changing?

From December 29, 2025, users can post new public posts, leave comments, upload photos and videos, users can post at least one of the conditions:
connected package " Professional ";
the account is linked by the authorization of Sber ID;
the value of social capital is not less than 500;
the blog is registered in the register of bloggers of Roskomnadzor or has the status of verified.

europe. the uk, france, italy, greese, germany, maybe spain.

most likely. if i could only go to one country/area, it would be the uk becuse i have a better chance of being understood there.

i read once that people really didn't care if they had a white christmas (a.k.a snow on christmas day) until Bing Crosby sang the song white christmas in the movie holiday inn & then people started looking forward to having one and getting annoyed when they don't get it.

so, to celebrate i'm doing a random poll.

i've heard that people in the southern united states think of washington d.c as a northern city, and people in the northern united states see it as a southern city.

got another COVID shot on tue. & just finding out if we could get the shot was a bit of an adventure.
first we called our insurance company to make sure it's still covered. they said it was not covered though wal-mart for whatever reason. but it would be covered trough our doctor's office, CVS & the pharmacy at the local want-to-be fancy grocery store.

called our doctor's office & they are not offering the COVID vaccine at all any more (i guess it's not that popular). so my brother called CVS in target (the closer of 2 in the area) & you can't get a person on the phone, so he left a voicemail asking about the availability of the COVID vaccine. he got a call back within an hour saying they did have it and no appointment was needed. it's pfizer, which breaks our streak of moderna shots. which was bound to happen sooner or later.

we went into the CVS at target late in the late-morning, went through the process of registering with CVS and filling out the paperwork for the shot. the shot itself was just a small pinch/poke (my brother said it was the same for him) & we got regular band-aids, not the inject-safe barrier bandage that wal-mart was using. neither one of us bled much from the injection.

both of us had injection site/arm pain, my brother felt a bit like he had a cold that night, but it wasn't as bad as it was in '23 & '24. the next day (wed.) i had a runny nose, but i don't know if it was connected.
i only had some minor itching on my upper arm. not the big rash i usually get 48-ish hours after the shot a.k.a COVID arm. either i'm getting used to these things, or the moderna ones were the issue all along.

a small follow up/addendum to this post i did a few months ago.

like i said then; maybe i've been lurking at r/ThriftStoreHauls too long, but i'm starting to recognize some of the higher-end fashion brands characters wear in movies & tv shows.

about 4 times now i've seen what is (or maybe supposed to be) women with a chanel purse. the small, quilted one with the chain strap. 2 of them black & 2 white

in the MSW episode the return of preston giles the sleazy guy who bought the publishing company has a trench coat with what looks like burberry pattern lining.

in the 2-part episode with the rival woman mystery writer, the writer in question has a louie vuitton brief case.


and on the subject of murder, she wrote; my brother pointed out that most of the episodes have some innocent person being accused of the murder at first, either because; 1. they are being framed by who did it. 2. they were on scene near the body when the police arrive. or 3. they have some issue/feud with the victim & are the most likely suspect.
i suppose that is done to have jessica start thinking "something is not right here" and start poking around to find the real culprit.

adagio tea sells loose-leaf teas & tea paraphernalia. they have all kinds; black, decaf, green, etc. & even fandom blends! (it's better to search for the one you're interested in, than to look through their list) there could be more than one for what you're interested in. for example; there are a couple for daniel jackson of SG-1, so read the flavor description to see if it's something you might like. they sell sample tins that make about 5 cups (except for some which are 10 or the ice tea, which is 6 pouches that make 40oz), so you can try it before committing to a larger amount.
they even tell you at what temperature & how long to steep the teas for.
make sure you read the whole page for the tea you're interested in, as some are higher in caffeine than others. (never got anything from them)

thigh society anti-chafe shorts (not shapewear) that can be used for working out, sleepwear, under a dress/skirt for modesty or loungewear. they have sheer, semi-sheer & mostly opaque styles that can be worn as underwear or over it. they come in 3 leg lengths (5, 7 & 9 inch. 1 has 12, 17, & 21 inch options), sizes XS/S to 5/6XL & several colors. there's even a style that has a pocket. (never got from them)

i don't recall where i heard about LJ. maybe on the stargate: sg-1 section of the scifi.com (now syfy) forums? i heard about DW when i was lurking & commenting with an open-id thing on LJ & zats_clear asked if i wanted an DW invite code. i was like; sure, & that's how i got an DW account.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ (or DW), is s/he still on your friends list?
she is still on my list, but doesn't post anymore.

i don't think so. back when you got random DW codes i posted them in the community for that & a few people said they took one.
