This week, our team in Ghana set out to help change that story. In partnership with the Medical Women's Association of Ghana, we showed up at two schools in Accra for World Menstrual Hygiene Day — not with brochures, but with real conversations. Together, we discussed: • Menstrual health and breaking common myths • Iron deficiency and why constant fatigue isn't "just normal" • The link between nutrition, deworming, and healthy development • How awareness today can lead to healthier futures tomorrow These girls were not just listening. They were hungry for this information. Over 500 pupils. Two schools. Two days. One conversation that should have started much earlier. We believe healthcare doesn't start at a clinic. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), silent conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol often go undetected for years. Not because people don't care—but because access to routine screening isn't always available. We brought screening closer to the people who needed it most. Across 8 government hospitals in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), our teams conducted free diagnostic camps, helping 900+ patients learn their health numbers for the very first time. But knowing isn't enough. We went a step further: → 60-second diabetic foot screening to help identify early signs of neuropathy before complications become irreversible. → Cardiovascular (CVD) risk calculators enabling healthcare professionals to assess patient risk accurately in under 30 seconds. → 30-day medication reminder cards to help patients stay on treatment and improve adherence.
