  • In just a few weeks, we’ll welcome the first ever Year 13 cohort at Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi. They’ll also become our very first alumni. As our school enters this new chapter, it’s incredibly inspiring to see what students across our Nord Anglia family in the Middle East have gone on to accomplish. More than 600 graduates, thousands of university offers, and places at some of the world’s leading universities are a reminder of what’s possible when young people are supported to aim high and follow their ambitions. Behind every offer is a story of determination, encouragement, and a community that believed in a student long before the university did. Congratulations to those students, their families and our colleagues across the region for the care, expertise, and commitment that make these moments possible. We can’t wait to see where our own students go next. Their story is only just beginning. #NASAbuDhabi #NordAngliaEducationMiddleEast #SixthForm #UniversityGuidance #StudentSuccess #Classof2027

This summer, more than 600 graduates from our Nord Anglia Education schools across Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and the UAE are taking the next step on their journey to some of the world's leading universities. Together, they've received more than 3,000 university offers, and $25 million in scholarships, from prestigious institutions including the University of Oxford, UPenn, UCL, Imperial College London, King's College London, Cornell University, Brown University, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Toronto, McGill University, Bocconi University, ESADE, the University of Warwick, the University of Bath, the University of St Andrews, EDHEC, Loughborough University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, among many others. These results reflect years of hard work, ambition and determination from our students, alongside the unwavering support of their teachers, families and school communities. While we're incredibly proud of the university destinations they've earned, we're even prouder of the curious, resilient and globally minded young people they have become. Congratulations to the #Classof2026. As you begin this exciting new chapter, you'll always be part of the Nord Anglia family, and we look forward to following your journeys and celebrating your future successes as members of our global alumni community. #NordAngliaEducation #ClassOf2026 #MiddleEast #UniversitySuccess #FutureReady #Alumni #NordAngliaEducationMiddleEast

Ethan’s curiosity about mechanical engineering took him all the way to Milan this summer, where he joined ‘Race Car Dynamics’ at TechCamp: Politecnico di Milano’s STEM summer school for secondary school students. During the week-long course, taught by professors, researchers, and PhD students, Ethan explored the science behind grip, aerodynamics, powertrains, suspension, performance, and handling. Ethan and his fellow students experimented with physical car models, investigated drag and downforce, tested different configurations, and worked together to apply what they’d learnt to a practical challenge. This experience allowed Ethan to meet young people who share his interests, experience university-style teaching, and see more clearly what studying mechanical engineering could look like. As he prepares to enter Year 13, that experience will help him make a more informed choice about university courses. Our students think seriously about their futures, seek out experiences that move them closer to their goals, and make the most of every opportunity. We’re there to guide them, encourage them, and help them turn a strong interest into a clear direction. Well done, Ethan Hawkins, and thanks to the team at Politecnico di Milano for giving aspiring engineers like Ethan the chance to test their ideas, challenge themselves, and see where their curiosity could take them. #SixthForm #NASAbuDhabi #StudentAmbition #CareerGuidance

Ambition looks different for every student. For Douglas Harban, one of our Sixth Form students, it looked like finding his own work experience placement at X12 CapitalX12 Capital, then walking into the asset management firm ready to ask big questions about AI, investing, trading, and the future of financial markets. Over five days, he explored the different roles within the firm, spoke with professionals across the business, carried out his own research, and completed a project on a question many experts are still trying to answer: why is it still so hard for AI to reliably beat the financial markets? His conclusion was thoughtful and sharp: AI doesn’t make the market easy to beat. It raises the ceiling for those who know how to use it well. He then presented his findings in the boardroom to senior leaders at X12 Capital, gaining insight, advice, confidence, and a clearer sense of the kind of work he wants to pursue. What stood out most was the way Douglas went after this opportunity. He found the placement himself. He prepared. He asked questions. He listened. He made connections. He tested his thinking. And he came back with a stronger understanding of where his future could take him. At NAS Abu Dhabi, we want our students to be bold about their ambitions, and practical about how they move towards them. That means giving them the confidence, guidance, and support to step into real-world spaces and see what their dreams look like up close. #nasabudhabi #leadingtheway #sixthform #nordangliaeducation

  • We’re proud to share that Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi has been named a winner of Edarabia.com’s 2026 Parents’ Choice Awards. This recognition places our school among the Top 10 schools in the city, based on parent ratings, written reviews, and consistent community feedback on Edarabia.com’s platform. We know we still have plenty of work to do as we keep growing. But we also know who we are. We’re a school built on clear values, real care, respect, empathy, kindness, and a simple commitment to put students first. Every day, our teachers, leaders, and support teams give their very best for the children in our care. We don’t need to pretend to be something we’re not. Our community knows us. They see the care, the effort, the learning, the laughter, the ambition, and the heart behind the school we’re building together. This recognition tells us that families feel that authenticity. To every parent who took the time to share their experience, thank you. We’re grateful for your voice, your honesty, and your trust in our school. To our staff, we should be very proud of what we've achieved in just 3 years, and of the school community we're continuing to build together. We’ll keep listening. We’ll keep learning. And we’ll keep doing everything we can to be better for our students and our community. #NASAbuDhabi #AbuDhabiSchools #ParentsChoiceAwards #StudentFirst #TopSchoolsAbuDhabi #SchoolCommunity #EdarabiaAwards

Some lessons take students far beyond the classroom. Our Year 5 and 6 students recently had the privilege of hearing from Dr Hussain Khansaheb, Executive Director of Marine Engineering and National Sustainability Champion at Dubai Holding, who was one of only eight people selected worldwide for the 2041 Foundation’s Ice Station Expedition to Antarctica last December. Led by polar explorer Robert Swan OBE, the expedition took Dr Hussain to one of the most fragile places on Earth, and he brought that experience to life for our students like a story – from camping on the ice, to relying on solar energy, to seeing icebergs break away from the mainland. The children were completely fascinated. They listened closely as he described what it felt like to stand in that vast frozen landscape, how every resource had to be carefully managed, and why the experience changed the way he thinks about the future. Dr Hussain also connected his Antarctic experience to the sustainability work taking place here in the UAE, helping our students see that protecting the planet is everyone’s responsibility, wherever we live. Our students listened with real curiosity and asked thoughtful questions. These are the experiences that stay with them: conversations that stretch their thinking, inspire them, widen their view of the world, and help them see the part they can play. Thank you, Hussain Khansaheb and Dubai Holding for sharing your story with such purpose and warmth. We’re grateful our students had the chance to learn from your journey and your work. #NASAbuDhabi #InspiringLearning #PremiumEducation #NordAngliaEducation #SustainabilityEducation #StudentInspiration #EnvironmentalAwareness #FutureLeaders

There is something special about watching a child step into a character and own it. The performances of Matilda Jr Primary Production were a wonderful display of confidence, humour and surprise. Students who had never performed before found their voice, those who had done it pushed themselves further. What the audience saw on stage that evening was the result of hard work and commitment from every single child. Marie Connolly, our Director of Creative Arts, shared: ‘We were absolutely blown away by the talent, confidence, and commitment of our students. Their performances showed the countless hours of work that went into bringing this much-loved story to life.” As pointed out by Musical Director Hayley Tizzard, “A show of this scale does not happen without people who believe in what the performing arts give to children.” That belief was clear in every scene, every song, and every proud smile at the end. To our students, you were brilliant, every one of you. To the staff who dedicated so much time and care to bringing this production to life, thank you. Thanks to our exceptional cast, our production and creative arts teams, and the many staff members who worked so hard behind the scenes. A very special thank you also goes to our wonderful parents for their support throughout the rehearsal process, and for being such a lively, enthusiastic, and encouraging audience across both performances. #NASAbudhabi #AbuDhabiSchools #InspiringLearning #SchoolCommunity #PerformingArts #StudentTalent #CreativeArts #MatildaJr #ConfidenceBuilding #SchoolProduction #ArtsEducation Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). • We live in an age where almost everything can be measured, tracked, and optimised. But what happens when we start treating enjoyment the same way? To explore how modern life is changing our relationship with play, wellbeing, and downtime, we spoke to more than 500 parents and leading experts as part of our new Permission to Play report. The findings reveal an interesting contradiction: while almost all parents believe play is important for wellbeing, many struggle to give themselves permission to prioritise it. Swipe through some of the key insights, then download the full report via the link in the comments. #PermissionToPlay #PlayMatters #Wellbeing #Education #Parenting

  • As we look ahead to welcoming our incoming Principal, Thomas Kinnersley, fully in August, his recent visits to NAS Abu Dhabi have been an important part of this next chapter for our school community. Over the past few weeks, Mr Kinnersley has spent time with our students, families, and colleagues, getting to know our school and the people who shape it every day. Following one of those visits, Mr Kinnersley shared a message with our families. Today, we’re pleased to share it more widely with our community. We’ve valued the time and care Mr Kinnersley has already shown in getting to know NAS Abu Dhabi, and we look forward to welcoming him fully as we begin this next chapter together. #NASAbuDhabi #NewLeadership #PremiumEducation #NordAngliaEducation #SchoolCommunity #StudentsFirst Nord Anglia Education Middle East
