That hotel Wi-Fi login screen you never think twice about? A Russian threat actor tied to Midnight Blizzard turned it into the attack itself. Here's how they did it: The CaptiveCrunch campaign compromises captive portals to redirect travellers straight into credential phishing and malware, no malicious link required. The most striking part: victims are led to a genuine sign-in page and unknowingly hand over access through device code phishing. Trusting the URL isn't enough anymore. If your team travels for work on managed devices, guest Wi-Fi needs its own line item in your risk policy, not a footnote.
