Only just finished chapter 8, but figuered I could share thoughts.
Apparently a fuck ton of satyrs getting snatched by one (singular) cyclops feels, almost goofy? Then again maybe later chapters will punch me in the face. Still nice to see Grover effect the plot meaningfully & try to handle it (even if he needs help). It's kinda clear (the foreshadowing aint sutle) why Annabeth dislikes cyclops, like yeah she's mean to Tyson, but no adult is actually talkinng her through these feelings, so I'm not gonna chastize her.
Though I personally don't, know how to feel about Tyson? Though that's mainly because he's a wet sack of a kitten who's treated poorly who's effectivly 5 or younger. IDK if Poseidon's his actual dad (blame fanfic), but I do wonder why he claimed him, for Percy's sake?
Also Percy, I love you. But god fucking damnit stop being a bitch towards the Aphrodite kids. I'm not gonna say for now that it's misogyny (even if it does give that vibe). But it's still very dickish of him to paint them this validly. Good thing to remember by that Percy isn't 100% reliable tho, which is appricated.
