The first thing you notice is that it's chilly and dark. You're in an enclosed space that you don't remember entering. Suddenly, light breaks in accompanied by an automated 'whoosh'. Except it's not very bright. In fact, it's rather... concentrated on a spot in front of your...pod?

You step out and look around. The walls are metallic and also puffy. You move out of the circle of light and a voice rings out of the darkness: "Welcome, Initiate. Please follow the light before you. Straying from the lighted areas is inadvisable."

Initiate? Why are you being called that? Who is talking? How did you get here? Asking gets no response but "Please follow the light before you. Straying from the lighted areas is inadvisable."

Annoyed, you look in front of you to see other spots of light that make up the corridor that leads you directly to a large bulkhead door where others are standing around, and they appear to be just as confused and angry as you are.

"Welcome, Initiates. I am your automated guide through The Cooler. My designation is 14-Charlie-Uniform-November-4. You may call me LACUNA.

"Please ask your questions one at a time. Thank you."
